MISSION STATEMENT

Citizens for Peace Hawaiʻi (CFP) is an organization formed in November 2023 to help meet the need for expanding opportunities and building capacity among ordinary people to organize in response to the recent military assault and genocide against Palestinian civilians in Gaza. We refuse to remain silent as US imperialism continues to destroy the lives and homelands of communities abroad for profit. As community members in one of the most militarized places in the Pacific, we understand that it is our collective responsibility to stand against systemic oppression and colonial violence wherever it occurs. 

Our mission is to build a community-centered global consciousness that resists militarized violence through political education and cultural exchange. We believe that grassroots organizing and intentional relationship building can reshape the status quo: from one which upholds divisive and oppressive imperialist structures, to one that forges a path towards peace, equity, and justice. Our mission is rooted in the belief that the strength of individual communities can create impactful change when we are unified globally.
